  1. Go into your course, the one that you'd like content be moved into (i.e. your "new" Moodle shell). You should now be looking at your blank course's home page.
  2. On the left side of the screen toward the bottom of the page, locate the Navigation block and click the My courses link.
  3. Find and click on the semester where your old course exists (the one you would like to import content from).
  4. You should see your old courses. Notice the CRN code in parenthesis. This is your courses' identification number. On a scrap piece of paper, write this number down as you'll need it for the Import process. (This number is in the format "12345.201810" where "201810" is the semester code of the CRN)
  5. Now that you can identify your older course, locate the Administration block on the new course page and click
  6. the Import option (see image below).

    8. You will see a list of courses that you are enrolled in as a teacher (by default, Moodle only displays 10 courses). Scroll to the bottom of the list and type in your older course's CRN into the search box.

    11. The Include page appears next. Deselect any items you DO NOT want to bring over into your new course. When you are finished, scroll to the bottom and click Next.
    12. The last page is the review page. Scroll to the bottom and click Perform import.

    13. After a few moments, you will see the import confirmation page. Click the Continue button.
    14. You will be brought back to your course page. Everything from your older course has now been copied over successfully.
