Managing your video library

All Moodle users will have access to their own personal media library. By accessing this library, you will be able to watch any of your uploaded videos as well as share them with people within or outside of Plymouth State. 

Adding Videos to a Kaltura Library

  1. From any Moodle course page, find the Navigation block (usually on the left side)
  2. Click the little arrow to the left of Site home, then click My Media
  3. You can also access your media library from the myCourses tab of myPlymouth. Click on the Kaltura link under Academic Technology Tools on the right side of the page 
  4. Once inside the video library, you will see a list of videos that you have uploaded to the Kaltura database. You may view, edit, share, or delete any of your videos
  5. To upload a video, click Add New, then Upload at the top of your video library
  6. The Kaltura selection window will appear. Select the Drag & Drop a file here or Choose a file to upload option in the middle of the screen
  7. If you choose to upload a file, navigate to where the video file is stored on your computer and double-click to select it (or click the file once and select the Open button)
  8. Click the Save button to send the video to the Kaltura server
  9. Now select the Go to my media button to to return to your library

Sharing Videos from a Kaltura Library via email

  1. From any Moodle course page, find the Navigation block (usually on the left side)
  2. Click Dashboard, then My Media
  3. You can also access your media library from the myCourses tab of myPlymouth. Click on the Kaltura link under Academic Technology Tools on the right side of the page
  4. Once inside the video library, you will see a list of videos that you have uploaded to the Kaltura database
  5. Click on the video you would like to share this will take you to the detail screen for that video
  6. Click the share button in the upper right corner on the video

      7. Copy the URL for the video and share via email
