The University System of New Hampshire, of which Plymouth State University is a member, uses the Banner Finance module which is stored and administered from a database that is located at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH. This module is used to store accounting, purchasing, budgeting data into a Banner database.
In order to access the database using the Internet Native Banner (INB) interface an employee of PSU must successfully complete the Banner training that is offered by the PSU Finance Services Office in order to receive a username and password. Virtual Private Network (VPN)
Access to the Banner HR/Finance requires the use of our Virtual Private Network (VPN) in order to securely transmit and receive financial data. See Connecting to the VPN for additional instructions.
Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is required to access Banner. USNH recommends Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 8 Update 102 for Banner Finance/HR, Banner Student, WebI and Application Manager. On Plymouth State University-owned computers, ITS has provided this upgrade for you.
Note:The JRE 8 Update 102 upgrade does not apply to FAMIS users. If you use FAMIS, you must remain at JRE 8 Update 66 for your applications to run correctly.
Access Banner Finance System through myPlymouth
4. Locate the Faculty/Staff Resource channel
5. Click on the USNH Gateway (Banner Finance) link
Access Banner Finance directly using the URL
6. If prompted to update Java, click on the Run this time button.
7.The Banner Finance/HR login screen appears. Type your Banner Finance/HR username and password and click on Connect.
Unable to login to Banner Finance more than once
It appears that any time a user clicks the USNHGateway link to log into Banner Finance for a second time within the same myPlymouth portal session the FRM-40010:Cannot open from GUAINIT.fmx is displayed. The workaround is to log out of the myPlymouth portal AND close the Internet Explorer window prior to logging into Banner Finance for the second time. All connections are released. Then, start over by opening a new Internet Explorer window, logging into the myPlymouth portal and clicking on the Banner Finance link.
