5. How to use Journals, Resume, Plans and Notes

Take a minute to get familiar with the JOURNAL, RESUME, PLANS & NOTES portions of the Content Section by watching the brief video above.

How to use the Table of Contents:

Above in the upper left corner (three lines) is the Table of Contents of the video.  Click the three lines and you can find a specific subject in the video by scrolling through the Table of Contents.  Click the three lines again to get hide the Table of Contents.


Here is a brief description of each:


  1. Journals is Mahara’s version of blogging. You can create journals and entries within journals that can easily be inserted into your portfolio pages.

  2. Resume is Mahara’s version of you resume, it allows you to insert sections or all of your resume into your portfolio pages, such as your cover letter, professional history, skills and interest.

  3. Plans are simple ToDo lists with completion dates and check marks.

  4. Notes are text boxes that are centrally stored to easily update multiple portfolio pages at once.
