A theme refers to a course's color palette and accompanying visuals. The default Moodle course theme is called Plymouth State Green and is comprised of a dark green background with a PSU logo in the top left corner. There are many themes to choose from as each has their own unique style and formatting. Follow the steps below to inject some creativity and personality to your course.

  1. In you Moodle course page, Locate the course's Administration block (usually found on the left sidebar) and select Edit settings.
  2. Click on the Appearance section to expand it's options. Open the drop down menu for Force theme (see right image above) and select a different theme
  3. Once you've selected a theme, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Save changes.
  4. Repeat these steps until you've found a theme that you'd like to keep.
