Moving Items

On occasion, it is necessary for an instructor to rearrange how items are displayed in the Gradebook. Whether it's relocating an item (or several) to a new category or simply moving an item to a different location, the instructor controls this arrangement. See below for more information on moving items in Moodle's Full View.

Instructions

  1. Login to myPlymouth
  2. Select the myCourses tab and click on your class title from the appropriate semester category. You will now be looking at your course's home page.
  3. In the Settings block (usually found on the left sidebar), select Grades.
  4. In the drop down menu entitled Grader report at the top of the page, select the Full View option from the list of choices.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the Full View to locate the horizontal slide bar. Move the slide bar to the far right of the screen.
  6. You'll notice a series of smaller icons for each gradable item in the course. Click on the move item icon for the item you wish to move. Gradebook-MoveItem.png
  7. The next page will display a series of dotted-lined boxes. Click inside the box where you wish to move the item to.
  8. Moodle will reload the Full View and your item will be in its new location.

Note: To move several items at once, select the checkbox for each item you wish to move (located to the right of the smaller icons). Once your items have been selected, open the drop down menu under the Save changes button. Then select the appropriate category you wish to move the items to. Once a category has been selected, the Full View will reload and your items will have been moved automatically.
