How to find your IP Address on a Microsoft Windows computer
Posted by Eric Halin, Last modified by Melinda Barnsley on 26 October 2017 03:12 PM

To find your computer's IP address on a Microsoft Windows machine, first open the command prompt by clicking on the start menu.

Then type in 'cmd' into the search bar, and then click on the icon that comes up or press enter.

Once the command prompt is open, type in 'ipconfig'

The line that says 'IPv4 Address" (highlighted in the picture) is your IP address.
