How to Use the Qualtrics Survey Tool for First Time Users

Introducing Qualtrics, Plymouth State's online survey tool. Qualtrics can be accessed by anyone with a PSU account. Faculty, students, and staff can find a link to Qualtrics in:

  • The My Service channel under Campus on left side in myPlymouth
  • The myLearning channel under myCourses tab of myPlymouth
  • Go directly to: http://go.plymouth.edu/qualtrics.

NOTE: The first time you log in, you will be asked if you have an existing Qualtrics account (perhaps from another institution). If you do, and ONLY if you would like to merge it with your new PSU Qualtrics account, please select Yes. The majority of users will select No to this question.

Here are the steps you will follow for a new account (answering No).

  • Click Create New User
  • A window will display with the following fields:
    • Username <psu username>#plymouthstate
    • Email - fill in field with your email address using your alias (ie. jlpickington@plymouth.edu)
    • Fill in First and Last names
  • Terms and Conditions will display. Click Agree
  • You should be brought to the Projects page so you can begin creating a survey project.
