The following guides offer instructions for managing your Yammer Account Settings and updating your Yammer Preferences.

How do I change my Email Notifications Settings?

  1. Log into your account and click on your profile icon in the lower left corner.  Click on the "Edit Account" in the upper right corner of the window.
  2. Click on "Notifications" in the left-hand column.
  3. If you are a member of multiple networks, click on the name of the network you would like to change the email notifications for. You will have to change the notification settings for each network individually. If you are a part of only one network (the PSU network is called plymouth.edu), you can skip this step, as you don't need to select anything.
  4. Under the "Activity Digest" section header, choose between "Never", "Daily" or "Weekly" from the drop down menu to set how often you'd like to receive a digest email that contains the recent activity in your network.
  5. Under the "Email me when..." section header, uncheck the box(es) next to updates you do not wish to be notified about.
  6. Review  the "New Activity Group notifications" section to allpy your settings to all or some of the groups which you are a member of.
  7. Lastly, click on the "Save" button at the bottom in order for all the changes you've made to go into effect.

How do I Change my Profile Picture?

To change your profile picture, log into your Yammer account and click on the profile icon and then "Edit Account" in the upper right corner. You should see the basic details for your Yammer profile, including your profile picture. Click on the "Choose File" or "Browse" button next to your current photo to select a new one from your computer (the button text will vary depending on which browser you are using). After you've selected a new photo, click the "Save" button to save your changes.

How do I Delete my Account?

Click on the profile icon in the upper right corner and then select "Edit Account" from the drop down. In the left-hand column, click on "Preferences." On this page, click the "Delete your Yammer Account" link in the upper right corner.

How Do I Delete my Profile Picture?

Currently, there is no way to remove a profile photo completely once you've chosen to upload one. You can, however, revert back to the default profile image by downloading the below attached no_photo image to your computer and uploading it as your new profile image.

To do this, click on the no_photo image link below, right click on image, and select "Save Image As..." to save it to your computer. Now log into Yammer.com. Click on the profile icon > "Edit Account" and then click on the "Choose File" or "Browse" button next to your current profile photo. In the file selector window that pops up, locate the no_photo image from your computer. Click the "Save" button to save your changes and you're done!

Size Limits for User and Groups Avatars

In order to have the best looking user or group avatar possible, please use these guidelines for success:

  • Size Limits: 10mb or less and 5,000 x 5,000 px or smaller.
  • Accepted File Types: .gif, .jpg, .png, or .bmp format.

What is a Daily Digest Email?

The digest email is a summary of new messages posted by members in your network. You can choose to receive this email Daily, Weekly, or Never by changing the option selected in your account's notification settings.

To get to your account's notification settings, log into your yammer account and click on the profile icon and then "Edit Account" in the upper right corner. Then select "Notifications" from the left-hand column. Under the "Send me a digest of message activity" section header is the drop down for digest sending options.
