Change the default Mail account on an iOS device

Introduction

These instructions are provided to assist with changing the default "Mail" account on an iOS device.

If there are more than one “Mail” or “Calendar” accounts on the iOS device, it is possible to set your preferred "Mail" account.

1. Tap on the Apple “Settings” icon

2. Tap on “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” 

  • In the column on the right, look for the “MAIL” header section, then locate the “Default Account” feature at the bottom. 
  • In the example below the default “Mail” account is “photozendrive
  • Tap on the “Default Account” name “photozendrive

3. In the right column tap on the name of your preferred “Mail” account. 

In the example below we are changing our preferred “Mail” account from “photozendrive” to “PSU Email” 

  • Tap on the account named: “PSU Email

4. When you open the iOS Mail App, the default “Mail” account will now be “PSU Email
