Posted by Katherine Martell, Last modified by Katherine Martell on 01 February 2017 03:52 PM

H5P allows you to easily and quickly create rich interactive content on a web page. Contents types include presentations with interactive elements, videos with embedded quizzes, multimedia timelines, and more! Please check out the tutorials below, and contact helpdesk@plymouth.edu if you'd like to schedule a one-on-one consultation.

Using H5P in Moodle

Adding H5P content to Moodle is a two-step process. First, the instructor adds an H5P module to the course page and selects the content type. Then, the content is developed by filling in form information. In some of the content types more advanced wysiwyg (What you see is what you get) editors are used, for instance the Course Presentation editor.

To add H5P to your Moodle course:

  1. Turn editing on, and click "Add a new activity or resource"
  2. Select the "H5P Interactive Content" radio button from the Activities list
  3. Fill in the Name field
  4. For Action select "Create"
  5. Select the editor, or content type that you would like to use
  6. Follow the prompts and edit content with text, images, videos etc. (we advise having images and video links ready to go before adding an H5P resource
  7. To preview, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save and Display"
