Add PowerPoint to Mahara

To upload a PowerPoint into Mahara, you can use GoogleApps block type or PDF block type.

Using GoogleApps block type:

  • Upload your PowerPoint presentation to Google Docs.

  • Click Share button in upper right side.

  • Select "Anyone with the link can view" option.

  • Click Copy Link button.

  • In Mahara, click on Main Menu in the upper right side of the dashboard page.

  • Click on the down arrow next to Create title.

  • Click on the Pages and Collections sub-title.

  • Click on title of Page you want to edit.

  • Click the Pencil Icon button (edit mode).

  • Click External option on block style menu on left side of screen.

  • Drag and drop the Google Apps block type onto the page where you want it located.

  • Paste the link copied from Google Docs.

  • Click Save.

Using PDF block type:

  • Save your PowerPoint as a PDF file.

  • In Mahara, click on Main Menu in the upper right side of the dashboard page.

  • Click on the down arrow next to Create title.

  • Click on the Pages and Collections sub-title.

  • Click on title of Page you want to edit.

  • Click the Pencil Icon button (edit mode).

  • Click the Media option on block style menu on left side of screen.

  • Drag and drop the PDF block type onto the page where you want it located.

  • PDF configuration window will open. Click on the title File.

  • Select folder you want to store file in. Otherwise the default folder is Home.

  • Upload the file.

  • Click Save.
