  1. How do I access Mahara?

Click on Accessing Mahara.

  1. How do I copy a template?

If you want to copy a template for the Educator Prep Program, click on Copying a Educator Prep template. If you are a P&T candidate and want to copy the Promotion and Tenure template, click on Copy P&T template.

 

  1. How to add a PDF to my Portfolio?

To add a PDF to your portfolio page click on Embed a PDF Document.

 

  1. How do I insert a PowerPoint onto my Portfolio page?

You can do this for either Google Slides or PowerPoint by clicking on Add a PowePoint.

 

  1. How do I add multiple pictures onto my portfolio page or collection?

You can add multiple images by using the Image Gallery so that it shows up like a slideshow the user can scroll to see each image.

 

  1. How do I put a video on my portfolio page?

You first need to place the video in a repository either Kaltura (PSU’s video repository) or YouTube. Click on Kaltura or YouTube depending on which repository you are using to see how to embed the video.

 

  1. Can I create a hyperlink on my portfolio page?

Yes, you can by using the note block. Click Hyperlink to learn how to create one in a note block. You can also place a hyperlink on an image. Click here to find out how.

 

  1. Can I add text and a picture to my portfolio page?

You can do this by using a note block found under the general block type section. Click How to use a note block use the picture icon to add an image within the text you type.

 

  1. How do I create a new portfolio page?

You will create a new portfolio by going into the Create section. Click here for more details.

 

  1. How do I add a page to a collection?

Click on Add pages to a collection for details.
